A few things need to be considered while selecting a good squash racket. The weight of the racket, its size, grip type, stringing, and stiffness are all factors that influence performance. Also, different playing styles call for different racket types. For instance, a conventional open throat racket will have a denser and smaller string bed. Therefore, it’ll have a smaller sweet spot and greater control. On the other hand, a close-throated teardrop-shaped racket will have a larger sweet spot and be more powerful and consistent.

A hybrid racket will offer a little bit of both power and control. In other words, heavier rackets offer more power and durability and lighter ones provide more control and maneuverability. Apart from these, find out more about the grip, stringing and stiffness of a racket. They are equally crucial factors that influence performance.

  1. Selection of squash racket becomes tough when we move forward as intermediate player, we just can’t choose normal rackets as they are made for casual gameplay, also we can’t go for big booming one’s that are very costly, so one racket that I have selected after a lot of research is the Technifibre CarboFlex 125, it is by far nicest squash racquet for intermediate players, specially if you love playing deceptive shots which I am fond of.

    • Which racket is best for whom is a highly personal matter of preference. Me for instance don’t find the Carboflex 125 to be particularly better or anything than lots of other rackets out there. Quite the contrary. I would choose several Xamsa rackets before I would pick up a Carboflex again. I’d prefer the Harrow Vapor before it. Prince tt Sovereign or the Prince Vortex pro 650…. Blade Shogun… Yeah you catch my drift… Per date the Harrow Vapor is by far the best racket for me and therefore number 1 out of all rackets in the world. 😉
